ISO 9001 Clauses 5.2 & 7.4: what the standard asks for, and where Signals fits
Clause 5.2.2 asks, among other things, that the quality policy be made known across the organization, so that people understand it and put it into practice. Clause 7.4 asks you to plan the communication that matters to your quality management system, inside the organization and outside it: what it covers, who sends it, who receives it, when, and by what means. Signals is a controlled channel for the internal part of that, and for any notice that asks for acknowledgment it records who has acknowledged it.
